The Delusion of Patriotism

What does Kagame, Mugabe, and Museveni have in common? First off, they are all males who believe they know best and thus continue to act as such. Psychologists and psychiatrists may offer a deeper insight into their dysfunction and deviances but their commonality is obvious. They have clung to power through control of their environments. They have convinced enough people to perpetrate their con missions on their behalf voluntarily. Their resulting omnipresence in the political vocabulary of their nations and expanding reach to younger generations is an injustice to humanity. No one man can pull off such a heist without wing men. The wing men are just as culpable as the perpetrators, and this is the delusion of patriotism.
